Abhikalp Pratap Singh

Abhikalp Pratap Singh is an Advocate on Record, Supreme Court of India. Abhikalp earned his B.A.LL.B. Degree from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University in 2013. He has been practicing in Delhi High Court & Hon’ble Supreme Court since his enrollment with the Bar Council of Delhi (2013).
Mr. Singh started his career with the office of Additional Advocate General of Uttar Pradesh. During that stint, he drafted various petitions on behalf of the Government of Uttar Pradesh and represented the Government before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. Thereafter, Mr. Singh worked in the prestigious chambers of Mr. Gaurav Agrawal, Advocate on Record & Mr. Shekhar Naphade, Senior Advocate.  
Mr. Singh has also worked as a trainee with Asian International Arbitration Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  He has also participated as an Arbitrator/Judge in the World rounds of Foreign Direct Investment Arbitration Moot Court Competition held at Stockholm, Sweden & at Miami, US in the year 2018 & 2019 respectively.  In the year 2021, Mr. Singh has been appointed as Board Member for the South Asia Region at the Prestigious Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot.
In the later years of his career, Mr. Singh has also assisted the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the landmark judgements such as Shreya Singhal Vs. Union of India (Safeguarding of rights under Article 19(1)(a)-freedom of Speech & Expression), Abhay Singh Vs. State of UP (Red Beacon Case), NALSA Case (Petition for the Rights of Transgenders) & Independent Thought Vs. Union of India (Petition challenging 'Marital Rape of child brides')  etc.
Mr. Singh is also Government Counsel for State of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh & State of Meghalaya in the Supreme Court & Delhi High Court. Mr. Singh is also empaneled with GAIL India Limited (PSU) & IIFCL (India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited-PSU).
